Series 10 Episode Ideas (just for fun)

Please, please, please, can we lay off the writer bashing. This is not what this thread is about.

A bit far fetched but you never know, I would like in the course of an extensive investigation in to Albany by another department evidence is uncovered that Lucas was in fact the real Lucas North and though he thought he thought he stood up to the Russian's he was completely decontstructed and brainwashed by their advanced techniques to have this other personality of John Bateman which when given the right sequence of triggers would start to conflict with Lucas's already fragile mind. The Russians have been smarting over the years due to being thwarted over several things by MI5 and to have an MI5 agent in their grasp they didn't just want to go down the torture route etc.,. The Russians were feeding information to the chinese hence them wanting Albany. Vaughan in fact working for the Russians and knew what buttons to press in regard to Lucas who met Vaughan while he was working in Dakar and mentioned to him he was in the process of trying to get into MI5 so that gave Vaughan someone he could perhaps use in future but not at this time and he got some other soul to leave the bomb but timed as when he put it on the ground it would explode and the guy would be evaporated.
Well that's my plot so far for a storyline.

Ah, if only! That would be rather an elaborate explanation for the events of S9.

It would be really interesting to see a situation where Harry's team somewhat turn against him... they decide he's made the wrong decision and that he deserves to go down for it. Very unlikely due to the level of loyalty that the team usually have, but seeing as Ruth is now the only person who has any real allegiance to Harry... it is plausible

If only they can give me that redeeming storyline. That would be great and definitely make a lot of sense! Not to mention it'd make some very good angst moments!

Intriguing situation indeed, I would love to see Harry in a situation where he has lost the trust and loyalty of his people and him realizing what it feels when people lost faith in you. It just might be an interesting thing to see for a man like Harry who's always had loyal agents by his side, what would happen when he loses that comfort he's so used to.

For some reason, I'm really starting to like this Tariq with a hatchet idea, it may make his character more interesting!

It's easier to mention what I don't want to see in the next series:

*Retconning (it's usually never good)
*RH parking the ship for another series and driving everyone crazy
*Harry murdering more people and not getting suspected
*Alien infiltration of the Parliament
*The Russians
*Dimitri taking up the man-angst and the tradition of dreadful relationships
*Beth being Alec or Harry's daughter
*Vaughn having 9000 lives Murdoch style
*Ruth being in danger thanks to Harry
*Tariq being office equipement yet again
*Some "sexy" but not very talented actor brought in to replace RA

Oh I know what I'd like to see. Being bit of a horror fan, I'd love to see a series-long story arc containing some genuine nightmare fuel. Nothing that strays into the supernatural, of course, wrong kind of show for that. But there are many things that have a natural explaination that could be positively bone-chilling. A monster of a rogue agent on a ripperesque killing spree, who slips through all sorts of security measures. Or some experiment that does really horrible things to the subjects, who are then released upon London...

Maybe this inquiry will dig up the skeletons he's been hiding in his closet, I mean, his team (other than Ros) never knew he killed Kachimov, not that it matters now at this point since none of the team members from Series 7 are alive, and his team never knew (other than Ruth) that he killed Nicholas Blake.

He's always acted with vengeance against anyone who harmed his team, so I suspect a long list of dead bodies that have been buried may now pop up and haunt Harry. He will finally have to face the music.

That actually doesn't sound that bad, maybe they think that it's an alien infiltration but really it wasn't? I mean, it could be fun if the team's trying to figure out if this is aliens or not!

i would like these to happen at some point in s10

-Dimitri involved in the removal of his shirt (don't mind at all why)
-harry to stay but for a plausible reason i.e. not just because "albany was really a dream"
-harry and ruth to actually admit they love each other or to leave it alone...all the inbetween is annoying for shippers now i mean cmon it will have been 8years by then!
-something involving everyone on the grid (somewhat like "Diana" or "i spy apocolypse") they were amazing episodes and it may giv us a chance to see what the newbies are like under intense pressure
-possibly tariq in the field, even just bugging, it will get him some fresh air the poor love
-ruth saving the day....instead of BEING saved by others
-someone to replace lucas as section chief who stays long enough to do the job properly (ruth would be perfect for this job)
-possibly another yalta style mole storyline
-an on-location shoot hopefully somewhere other than russia




i am excited for s10 and hope that kudos would like a few of these!

It can hardly be the end for the Russian thing I'm afraid Annie The absence of Lucas will do little to reduce continuing machinations over the balance of power in Moscow, or the control of utilities and energy supply between Russia and Europe, or Russian influence in Africa (where Russia is engaged with China in an exciting post-or-possibly-continuing Cold War scramble for control of national infrastructure assets). You will probably have to endure the cod-Russian accents for another season at least.

And most likely a whole other season of everyone rubbing in our faces about Lucas going loco!

The Russians, MI5's own internal affairs, and not to mention every intelligence agency on the globe is gonna be watching this Albany aftermath and probably laugh at Harry and the team for their stupidity.

And Lucas's memory will probably be continually tarnished and destroyed.

Oh wait, I have a dream/idea now, maybe they can redeem Lucas!!! That would be great!! Have the team remember him in his TRUE selfless brave self!

The Baby-Spooks definitely need to be fleshed out more, so hopefully they will each have their episodes to shine!

Ideas for episodes:

1. Seeing as how there is increased instability again in Northern Ireland, they could do an episode on that. If they don't have the budget to go on location, they can awlays have a story where it spills over to England.

2. Since two EU countries have already had to introduce austerity measures, how about having the UK being forced to introduce them as well, and MI5 having to deal with the fall-out, and then finding out the economy has been manipulated into this situation, say by the Chinese or by an unscrupulous group of rich people in the UK itself who want to profit from it.

3. Environmental issues are growing in importance, so maybe a story about a Climate Change Summit in London with nefarious goings-on? Take your pick from eco-terrorists or Big Business bad guys.

Maybe I'll think of more later. I don't know if we'll get a whole episode based on the Royal Wedding, we'll probably only have it mentioned in passing at some stage, but I like the idea of an Olympics story. That'd be great. Ooh, you know what I'd like? If there's a a situation where some of the athletes are kidnapped and held hostage a la the Israeli athletes in Munich in 1972.
