RE: [spoilers] Malcolm
I just though it was great that we finally got to see his mother. After years of him talking about her on the Grid, she was real. I am so hoping he is back for good or at least appears in several episodes a series. It's almost like Kudos have really been paying attention to the fans this time. These little things, like Malcolm's mother, really get us going.

RE: [spoilers] Malcolm
Fantastic cameo from ole Malcolm. Retirement seems to agree with him, he looked fabulous. But now I wonder what else could be buried in his garden...

One word: *sigh!* I am very happy indeed. Thank you Kudos! I would be happiest if he came back on a more permanent basis, but I am content with cameos. I hear you about what else he has buried in his garden though. No one could clear out that quickly unless they were prepared. Once in the service; always in the service. Malcolm is either a) a back up/contingency plan and was prepared to move if anyone came calling for Albany, or b) in on it from the beginning. From his horrified reaction, I tend to think he knew exactly what "Albany" is. Shame on Lucas for grossly underestimating Malcolm. Although I am still trying to figure out what Malcolm has to do with the Battle of Trafalgar, the painting or the actual battle. It could be as simple as he is doing his duty a la Lord Nelson. I fear my imperfect knowledge of British maritime battle history is holding me back. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm. Perhaps Malcolm lived at Nelson House, Battle of Trafalgar Gardens. I think it was more likely to be that stenography thing that Nitrus loves. There was wording or co-ordinates hidden in the picture. I wish some things were explained more in Spooks but alas I assume a lot of this stuff ends up on the cutting room floor. It would have been interesting to see that picture again though. |

RE: [spoilers] Malcolm
I just spent the entire time that Malcolm was on screen grinning. He's back! With his mother! And he's one up on Lucas!
I think it was a case of once a spook, always a spook. Given that he knew he had classified documents that he could only give to a select group of people, he must have had a back up plan for if the wrong person came looking, or if they came looking for the wrong reason. DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered. |

RE: [spoilers] Malcolm
What I especially loved was that in an episode all about hacking, Malcolm was completely uninvolved in that plot. It was STILL a lovely surprise to see the door open and him beaming behind it.
Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: [spoilers] Malcolm
Aah Malcolm. So good to see him again. Definitely one of my favourites. He had some brilliant lines and delivered them with such panache.
Malcolm: No one sees us, we go through walls. Tom: Just pop through the wall, get us a cup of tea would you Malcolm. Malcolm: Sorry got a bit carried away there. As others have mentioned he was always looking out for other members of the team. His reaction to Colin's death, his support for Ruth over along time - including going to the concert with her as her brother - and the way he saved Niko are all shining examples of our wonderful Malcolm. I did really love that episode where he became 00 Wynn-Jones - super action hero. Villains beware, he's rather nifty with some electricity cabling. Do hope he comes back for more in Series 10!!! "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt." [Malcolm Wynn Jones] |
