Favourite films?

RE: Favourite films?
I have so many classics to watch, I should shut myself up at home one weekend and watch classics!!

I love Woody Allen, I haven't seen the last one, is it any good?

One friend of mine wants me to go with him and watch avatar... but I'm not sure... Only visual effects... I like films with good stories behind...

Take the Money and Run is Typical early Allen - all jokes and little story but it's very funny.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a great film. Very depressing though.

It's him. I'm still amazed he's the same guy who played "our little Adam" in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Also, Chris Nolan directed it. Great film. What's cool is you can watch the DVD in either the theatrical order of events or chronologically so you can watch everything fall into place.

Yeah, nice bertowud. And wasn't Pearce in Neighbours in the 80s, or some such iffy soap?

La Vie En Rose is wonderful.

Tomsdouble, there are a few Woody Allen fans on this thread. I think we talked about his stuff earlier in the thread. My two favourites of his movies are Annie Hall and Crimes and Misdemeanors.

RE: Favourite films?
Love all three of them. Especially Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I went to see that by myself at the cinema and no-one else in the cinema seemed to find it funny, while I sat there laughing like a jackass. It was their fault for not finding it funny.

I have a real thing for Cillian Murphy, love Breakfast on Pluto, Red Eye and 28 Days Later, as well as The Wind That Shakes the Barley. Just realised that Cillian has been in 3 films with Paloma Baeza who played Elizaveta Starkova
Also really really love Martin Scorsese's After Hours, horribly overlooked film
