Yes I really blubbed at Marley & Me even though I dont like dogs.

The only film I consistently cry at, each time without fail, is Saving Private Ryan. Within the first 5 minutes I am in tears and again when the mother sees the army staff car driving up to her door, and she knows what is to come.

Terms of Endearment is also quite sad although I dont really cry now when I see it like I used to.

Watched "Becoming Jane" at the weekend about Jane Austin and her early love life. It's a bit of a "do your ironing" while watching it film, but it was very good.

Terms of Endearment has really dated. It's worth watching because it has a first rate cast.

Becoming Jane is sad for me to watch because it was Ian Richardson's last movie and released some months after he died. Plus he's quite cruel to Anne Hathaway's Jane.

I went and saw 'Remember Me' today. It was fantastic. I went to see it mainly because Chris Cooper is in it and he's his usual brilliant self, but RPatz should totally have done this film first. He shows up great in this as does the lovely Emilie de Ravin and Kate Burton puts in a great performance in her few, poignant scenes. Even Pierce Brosnan isn't overly painful - and seriously, he's in my bottom ten actors ever list. I hate the guy, no kidding.

I had the ending figured out pretty early on and I'm sorry I did - it packs a punch. Definitely a film you leave thinking about.

Anyone seen Kick-Ass? It hit me like Juno in the sense that it was something new, soundtrack enhanced the scenes and that it was seen through the eyes of a teenager. It was really fun.

I bet nobody cried when the "Westie" got shot in series 3 episode 2, I keep telling my border Collie that's what will happen to her if she insists on sticking her nose where it's not wanted!
OK Favourite Films:
Cinema Paradiso (great music), The Tango in Moulin Rouge (as well as the shock that Euwan Mc Gregor and Nichole Kidman did their own singing, Hannibal, The English Patient, Gladiator, Ghost Ship (reserved for foggy nights aboard my yacht), The Bone Collector and of course before I realised that Harry was in it, Aces High

Yes I know these make me sound odd but I love the following:

1) High Noon - Gary Cooper/Grace Kelly "Do not forsake me oh my darling"
2) A Bridge Too Far - "cup of tea couldn't hurt Sir"
3) Where Eagles Dare - "Broadsword to Danny Boy"
4) Remains of the Day - "Ms Kenton you are invading my private space"
5) Sleepless in Seatle - "this is Howard"
6) Australia (I may be the only one in the whole world though)

TL, I love Remains of the Day and Australia too. ROTD because I love the book, Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson and the beautiful cinamatography. Australia is so bad that it is good!! Another favourite film is Watchmen, it has a wonderful soundtrack and some great performances.

I also love Remains of the Day. It was one of my first movies in original version (my first I think it was Wolf). The story is wonderful (I'm thinking I should read the book), and both actors are amazing.

Beatriz, definitely read the book, it will enhance your enjoyment of the film.
