Also, how many would watch an animated flick? I'd say it's 75% animated and yet, it's now the highest grossing movie ever. You got me there. You're right, I probably would not have watched an animated film but I did watch Avatar, and I soon forgot that it was indeed animated. Didn't see it at the theatre/cinema only on DVD so I missed the 3D effects. But the 'scenery' was amazing. Lucas 8.4: It's all about trust, isn't Harry ?. Signature by the brilliant TygerBright |

RE: Favourite films?
Gonna add a few more to the mix, some of which have not been mentioned yet but are favorites. I am keeping it to the movies that I/we decided were good enough to spend money on for the permanent library.
Tank Girl Funny Bones Murder By Death Young Frankenstein Hair Spray What's Eating Gilbert Grape? Edward Scissorhands Being John Malkovich To Kill a Mockingbird Fargo Princess Bride Pulp Fiction This Is Spinal Tap Waiting for Guffman An American in Paris (Gene Kelly's masterpiece) Bride & Prejudice Persuasion (Root/Hinds version - sorry RPJ!) The Incredibles (but we own all of Pixars animated films and shorts) There are others but I'll stop there. Now cracks a noble heart. Wow! Tank Girl? It's on my guilty pleasure list. I love, love, love Tank Girl.
If you like The Incredibles, have you seen The Iron Giant? It's also by Brad Bird. Always love your country, but never trust your government. |

RE: Favourite films?
Aside from Malcolm MacDowell, Lori Petty and Naomi Watts, how can you not love a movie with a super soldier that is a genetically modified Jack Kerouac infused with Kangaroo DNA? Not a great film, as far a film making goes, but good post-armegeddon, punk, a**-kickin' fun! I have two words for you!
re: The Iron Giant. Looks like something we would enjoy. I have a vague memory of renting it but my oldest was too young for it at the time. We should try again. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm. Shakespeare, Hamlet |

RE: Favourite films?
My friends all make fun of me any time I bring up Tank Girl.
My oldest was too young when I rented it too. Then again, she wasn't born for another 7 or 8 years. Seriously though, I think you'll like it. I think he was also the lead writer on Ratatouile. Always love your country, but never trust your government. |

RE: Favourite films?
Very bad. But intentionally so, I think. It does not take itself very seriously at all. There is one part that wierds me out though, which is Iggy Pop. He gets his just deserts though. Lets Fall In Love is fantastic!
