I got to the end of the episode and thought that it had been a pretty scary episode with the whole they don't know where he is thing, but did Harry and Ruth no longer matter?!?! Hopefully this means we're leading up to a big episode. Hopefully what you say isn't true Kirmostar - I still live in hope anyway. I thought Lucas would be more mad with Sarah. Maybe he already suspected something, I don't know, but throughout he was very tranquil. Strange. And Genevieve's accent was so good! She had some brilliant scenes in this episode. DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered. |

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
I thought it was a strong episode, but not really an outstanding one. Things I liked:
- That Ros trusted Harry over her one-time mentor to such an extent that she showed him the memoirs and the allegations that Coleville made against Harry. These two have certainly come a long way. - Harry's 'thank you' when Ros said she never believed he got an innocent civilian killed during interrogation in Gibraltar. - For a moment I wasn't sure whether Coleville really knew something about Harry from Gibraltar, which was a direct result from the fact that we've seen Harry lie so well on many occasions. - I thought HN portrayed Ros' conflicted feelings about Coleville really well. - The misdirection with Coleville - I was trying to work out how he tied into the Basel meeting the whole episode, while in the end his actions had nothing to do with it. - Glad that they've figured out Sarah is not to be trusted. If they'd left it much longer it would've made our heroes look like idiots. So well done Ruth! - The conference room scenes are back! - Tariq will henceforth be known as Smart Boy. Things I didn't like: - The chase scene with Ros/Coleville was interminable. - If I never have to see another smooching or love scene between Lucas and Sarah I will be a happy camper. - Disappointed that we didn't get to see a showdown between Harry and Lucas about him lying about the Basel meeting, or over the suspicions that Sarah is a baddie. I guess Little Miss Efficient provided such incontrovertible proof that Lucas couldn't see it as a frame-up or an attempt from Harry to break them up. It seems I will have to give up on my hope that the former tensions between Lucas and Harry will come to a head in this series. - I'm also beginning to suspect that we've seen all the good Harry/Ruth scenes we're going to get this series. Damn. |

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
I liked the Ros/Coleville chase scene - reminded me of Silence of the Lambs a bit when they got down to the basement area. Smart Boy finding the bluetooth wireless chip thing in the folder - I love the gadgets in Spooks, wish I was that clever!

Harry's poker face leaves a lot to be desired (well maye not with Ruth) but you can totally tell when
he's lying!! Made the same face last night as he did when he denied knowing what Sugarhorse was. |

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
A good solid episode although not as good as last weeks. It was one of those Spooks episodes that I had to engage brain and try and keep up with what the hell was going on.
Yes I agree with other comments. There were a couple of H/R moments but they were so subtle that if you blinked you would have missed them. For example when Harry was standing over Tariq, he could hear footsteps behind him and kind of winced when Ruth appeared next to him. Actually I think if you had just come down from Mars then you would have thought Harry and Ros were the ones that fancied each other in this weeks episode ! The fact that H/R had no scenes in this episode and the fact that Ruth is still so cold towards Harry then I am struggling to believe that we will see any scenes between them this series regarding their relationship. I know someone said, I think it was Silktie, that they dont care if they never get together until the final episode ever, just so long as they get together, but personally I think the writers needed to have put something in this series. Harry and Ruth have "not been a couple" for 6 years now. I will feel let down by Kudos if nothing happens now after all this time. |

The band is still there but it goes up and down between wrist and forearm and the chains attached to it go from light to dark - I like the idea of the laser tatto removal though!! Maybe Sarah doesn't like them lol

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
No the one I'm talking about used to circle his arm (in series 7) about an inch or so above the right wrist. Tried to attach a pic but the file's too big. Anyway there's a clear shot of L's right arm at 56.38 and no tat.

I guess they gave enough hints that he was crazy, but that was a strange premise for killing off agents. If he was one of their best he should have known the circumstances in which the lady character was compromised.I find it hard that such a veteran(did they call him one?) would go on a blood faced revenge.
