Nice one SPOOK91.Smile As Beatriz said "soap opera!"
Maybe the mail editor is a secret Spooks fan and was just trying to goad the BBC into making an announcement.

I don't think the Daily Mail editor is a secret anything.

bah bloody daily mail!! How can they publish something like that? Do they even do any research!

Death by mascara. It was horrible to watch. Ruth's agonizing over the fact that there are no more horses in modern-day warfare and Adam's on a course learning how to lift his knuckles off the ground. So, you'll have to make do with me, I'm afraid.

The daily mail usually do "research" then go in the opposite direction of the research, OR inflate the results of the research beyond any kind of reasonable level.

For example, Mail finds out that 6,000 immigrants entered the UK last year, their headline reads "UK OVERRUN BY IMMIGRANTS, DON'T GO OUTSIDE OR THEY'LL MURDER YOU/STEAL YOUR JOB/BE RUDE TO YOUR MOTHER" etc etc..

Yeah that does pretty much sum up the mail!
But I believe when it comes to more serious issues such as Spooks they should exercise more caution eith what they are saying lol Tongue

As opposed to less serious issues like immigration and race relations? Nice to see your priorities are in order!

There's a paper like that in every country, but it's true that the British press are that cut below. That's why I love that line in 7.4 where Harry exhorts the CIA girl "not to believe everything [she] sees on television, even British television."

What I'm about to say isn't a snobby remark, but given the friendly relations The Guardian has with Kudos, the official announcement is likely to be leaked to them first. Possibly The Independent.

Lucas North: Your situation is more precarious than you realize, Connie, so stop pressing buttons and give us something.
Connie James: Threats don't work with a person who has nothing to lose.
Lucas North: Oh, you're too ingenious to think that I'm threatening you. I'm offering you a simple choice: help us or don't. I'll leave you to compute the implication.Cool

My mother-in-law reads the Mail every day. She permanently walks around with a grey cloud over her head like Pootle Flump.
