It is strange, on the face of it, but I think it's more to do with his personality and heart that shines through. I think Peter is very economical with his acting; he does a lot in a very subtle way that is a lot more convincing.. I loved his facial expressions in scenes with the H/S in 8.8 as well as his looks at Ruth of course... " Harry is a pugilist for the State, but he's a lover, not a fighter " - Peter Firth

Especially in the roof scene, you could clearly see the gray in his hair so I don't think it's being coloured. What do you think? I have gone away and watched episode 8 again. His hair does appear very dark in the first scene when he is standing with Ruth outside the security briefing and then again on the roof. I admit that there does appear to be a few gray hairs there also. That doesnt explain though how he has got so dark. His hair is lighter on the top but that is probably more to do with it being a bit thinner. In his younger acting days he was so totally blonde. How can you go from this to almost dark brown? (Sorry PF, no harm meant.) |

Yeah I saw there earlier in the year - good for him! I know he left school young, at 16 I think, but continued his education later.

My grandfather works at the Bradford university I think... I would try asking him about it but then he'll really think I'm obsessed and won't stop talking about it for months...

RE: Peter Firth
You guys, have you seen his speech on You Tube when he is given his degree? Its in two parts. The second clip is where he is actually speaking and his speech is really funny and I love his two words of advice he gives at the end. I wont spoil it for you. Well worth a look.
