That's beautiful Beatriz!

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

RE: Travel
Big Grin You can come!! It's a small town in the north-west of Spain. It's in Galicia (Spain's region) above Portugal.
Look what I found in widipedia:
Quote:A Coruña is one of only eight pairs of cities in the world that has a near-exact antipodal city. Half of these antipodal pairs are in Spain/Morocco and New Zealand – with Christchurch, New Zealand as A Coruña's antipode.

Barthelona (as you like to call it Tongue) is great, I lived there for a year, lots of great hidden places, not only touristical ones Smile

I have nothing against Crete - have never been there but I had something else in mind Sad
Now I definitely have to organise an amazing holiday for my friends..Big Grin

As for the UK, I think we will end up as a family going to Northumberland, where we go like every year :/ I went to Suffolk for the first ever time last year and actually liked it (which is surprising for me as I usually adopt the usual mardy teenager act when forced to go anywhere with the fam lol I am awful Tongue) Although the weather was nice which makes a huge difference I think lol especially as we take the dog so can't usually go inside anywhere Angry
My favourite places to go in the UK are Edinborough, Bath, London, Northumberland and Cornwall. Big Grin.

Crete is lovely - it's a big island, so there's plenty to see & do. Make the most of it.
Your UK favourites are all really good too, especially Cornwall (though I might be biased because of the beer). I love Yorkshire too, though I fell out of love with it a little bit after having some rather hairy experiences up there last month Confused

John - thanks for your recommendation. We haven't been to Dorset for a while, it's due a return visit..

Hi Beatriz,

I have been to Marbella and Tossa de Mar. And I did a day trip to Barcelona, which was not nearly long enough, so I do feel the need to visit there again, the cathedral was amazing!!

Lucas North: Your situation is more precarious than you realize, Connie, so stop pressing buttons and give us something.
Connie James: Threats don't work with a person who has nothing to lose.
Lucas North: Oh, you're too ingenious to think that I'm threatening you. I'm offering you a simple choice: help us or don't. I'll leave you to compute the implication.Cool

I personally don't like Marbella too much tourism and it only has beaches (which sometimes is great to relax), it's over crowded, and lots of tacky sort of celebrities...
Barcelona has great places, everybody go to "Las Ramblas" very touristic indeed, you hear more English than Spanish in there... The cathedral is amazing, but there's a church in the Gothic district which is awesome too, Santa María del Mar Church.

If somebody wants to visit Spain, PM me and I'll try and help you Smile

RE: Travel
When I finally get there, I will DEFINITELY be talking to you! I'm one of those people who constantly plans overseas trips but never takes them.

Ideally, I'd like to spend at least 3 weeks in Spain to see it properly. One of the reasons I started this thread was so people could ask for local knowledge when travelling. We should take advantage of the fact that we have most continents represented on the forum.

RE: Travel
Hope so!! But beware! I will make you visit Galicia!! LOL Very few people think about visiting this region when travelling to Spain, but they should!! (OK, enough advertising)

Yes, it was a good idea, when I finally go abroad I'll here whether somebody has been there.
Going to Australia is not one of my near future plans but I will go!!!
