Dear god, no!!! Hoping that this just means that they seem to be getting on ok together and it's all just in Harry's mind or he puts two and two together and gets 10. I can't believe Ruth would get involved with someone else on the grid. She can't have so little respect for Harry and his feelings. Fingers crossed the editors thought better of it and have left any scenes on the cutting room floor. And if Ruth does get off with Dimitri, I will think that Ruth has totally lost it, as well as the writers.

As provocative an idea as that is, even I would lose respect for Ruth! The only way I can see that possibly working for me is if it is one sided - on Dimitri's side? I could see them getting close as friends though. Adam close. Danny close. Zaf close. That might be enough for Harry to resent in his current state.

I agree with TL and AC. The only way I can see it happening is that Dimitri flirts with Ruth, and Harry reacts to that. Max Brown did say beforehand that his character flirted with everybody. I'm sure the powers that be won't portray Ruth as being that callous towards Harry. She may not want to date or marry him, but she still cares for him a great deal.

I agree that the idea of Dimitri and Ruth is a bit off the wall, but the whole situation does need a catalyst. Max Brown apparently said that Harry soon puts a stop to it, so maybe we will finally see some sparks fly!

Thanks goodness, we all feel the same. It has just got to be Harry being jealous of their friendship or as you say, it being one sided on Dimitri's part. I thought Dimitri liked men anyway? Perhaps they hook up to talk about Cyprus or something. I can see Harry exploding if he sees Ruth even look at another man. Unfortunately I can also see him taking it out on Ruth as well, even though she is probably innocent. We haven't had a H/R face slapping moment have we?

Maybe Harry confronts Ruth and they have a massive row, and then Ruth tells him Dimitri is gay, which makes Harry look rather silly....

Nah, they're not silly enough to go that route. They can't be. (Trying very hard to forget Anna and Adam here...)

Those of us who think this relationship bears a lot of resemblance to Stevens and Kenton in The Remains of the Day must be thinking it more strongly than ever after the the last two episodes.

Yes, sadly. Their relationship turned to one of anger with a little bit of hate as they became frustrated and at least Miss Kenton kept trying to hurt Mr Stevens towards the end, before she left the house.

It might just be me here but in these two episodes, I am totally with Harry. What I mean is, I think I understand where he is coming from, what he is feeling and what he is thinking, where Ruth is concerned. With Ruth, I am totally confused and having real difficulty in reading her mind and interpreting any of her actions.

Nope, it's not just you. Granted Harry may have picked a bad time to ask Ruth to marry him but I think the feeling was genuine and he is trying to get their relationship out into the open. Ruth, on the other hand, seems not to know what she wants and that indecision seems to plague her interactions with him (and is also confusing the hell out of me).

That's her problem her head is a mess, she doesn't want to admit. She needs to clear her head (it's not an easy situation, though, she's confused, although I believe she knows what she wants deep in her heart), she owes that to Harry. I can't see that sad face again *sniff*
