Series 9 Filming & Behind the Scenes

Lucas with no action? What is he gonna do? Sit on his buttocks and count sheep? Catch up on Coronation Street?

I wouldn't like a Russian sleeper agent plot either, especially since we have already seen Lucas in Moscow once when Harry sent him to find the Sugarhorse asset and all that. Clearly Lucas didn't want to be in Russia and he fought like hell with the bad guys to get out. Even the scenes where Lucas is alone, he clearly shows disdain and in a hurry to get away from the Russians, it just wouldn't fit with what they had written about Lucas for him to side with the Russians.

What I really want is for Harry and Lucas to have a big confrontation. Finally hash out their feelings for each other and this whole trust issue. Maybe Lucas turns because he doesn't trust Harry anymore and thinks Harry is betraying him, but then after their big confrontation Lucas finds out that he's just being used to get to Harry, and when the bad guys try to kill Harry, Lucas saves him and takes the bullet or something. So at least even if Lucas dies, he died saving someone he admired and respected and cared about. Maybe we can see some tear and emotion from Harry too at losing his prodigy. Maybe a scene where Harry is holding Lucas in his arms as he dies? That may actually be good writing there.

That would be brilliant (but sad), and it would allow Lucas to die a hero. Not that I want Lucas's character to die by any means, I think there's heaps more to develop with the character, but from those YouTube clips (and what RA doesn't say) things do look a bit grim. Personally, I hope there is an S10 with Lucas disobeying Harry's orders...

That confrontation certainly could be interesting! And maybe Lucas shoots Harry at the end and the last we see of Spooks9 is Harry lying on the ground bleeding and Lucas being arrested and brought to a high security prison! Wouldn't that be a great cliffhanger? And much better than seeing Lucas dead!
But for me this would only work if it then turns out at the beginning of Spooks10 that Harry and Lucas had in fact planned all of that, that Harry isn't really dead and that Lucas has the task to investigate undercover in prison to find the real traitor....

I've listened to it at least 30 times now, even with headphones (yep, I've got nowt else to do ), and I wouldn't bet on it. The again, I'm stil in denial

Not sure of the best place to post this, but RAnet is reporting that some Richard Armitage fans, who were at a Spooks filming at Wandsworth Town Hall on July 18, were told by some crew members that Spooks 10 has been commissioned
