Going back to the brief GMTV interview with PF yesterday (which I know some of you haven't seen) something has been bothering me about what was said. PF says something like, the surprise in S9 is the second last person you would expect it to be, who are not what they seem.

PF actually said "last person" first and then corrected himself to "second last person."

Now I know there have been lots of comments by RA in the last few days, but for me, he would be the obvious choice for someone not to be as they seem. For me the last person is Harry, and the second last person would be Ruth.....

One to ponder.

I would say that Ruth would be the last person to expect to be the betrayer, with Harry being second-last. Just because Harry is more of a spy whereas Ruth is more of a clerical worker, if that makes sense.

Hmm that is interesting, hasn't RA been saying though that Lucas is "not what he thought he was" so couldn't that be what PF is getting at?

Well if she was the betrayer it would also explain how when she began to get close with Harry in s5 she backed off, guilt perhaps?

S9 is also supposed to be about genetics so perhaps Lucas has something to do with that storyline rather than the betrayal story. A bit like that BBC series "First Born."

I hoped you guys (apart from Nitrus) would say that you didn't think it was Ruth and I was wrong in my thinking...Now I'm getting worried !!

I do though see your point Nitrus, in that Ruth has always worked at a desk. Where and when would she have been turned? Also why run away from Harry if you are supposed to be a betrayer? Shouldn't you have stayed and let Harry go down for the torture claims in 5.5?

That was it really. Oh PF did say he didnt know who the person was though, as it hadn't yet been written which seemed a bit of an odd thing to say as he must have known who he meant when he said "second-last person." It may be though that Kudos just told him what to say in that interview, and he didn't really know who the person was. A bit confusing anyway. The clip really was only 90 seconds or so. The rest of the interview will be released by GMTV nearer the time.
