I need some spooky neeeews!!!! Everyday I search in google " spooks series 8" and nothing, and in youtube... how long do we have to wait?? Other series announce their coming sonner, I'm becoming a bit impacient! just kidding!
I have withdrawal symptoms!!

I agree with that, the BBC site doesn't say anything, surely the BBC must know when it will be on. What can they possibly again by keeping it a secret ?

Well I've got the radio times and it definitely doesn't start next week as I have the listings for then. I've also checked the radio times website which has tv listings up until Wednesday 14th October, so I think the wikipedia person is just guessing when it's on. I would have thought that the BBC would have released the date by now - Top Gear has been announced and it's November!!!
